HYPELINE · book it for someone else

Game day hype call: youth sports, the big game, the tryout

HYPELINE books a live hype person to call before a game, a tryout or a championship and spend 20 seconds ($6.99) or 40 seconds ($9.99) on why today is theirs. Booking requires an adult account and the call recipient must be 18 or over and consent to the call — so for youth sports, the person who gets hyped is usually the parent in the stands.

An age rule that shapes this one

HYPELINE is 18+ to book and 18+ to receive, so a hype call cannot be sent to a twelve-year-old before their game. What people do instead is book it for themselves — the parent, the coach, the older sibling driving them there — which turns out to be the funnier and more useful version. Sideline nerves are real and nobody has ever made a product for them.

Adult rec leagues, tryouts and comebacks

The straightforward version is adult amateur sport: a beer-league final, a masters swim meet, a first competition back after an injury. That last one is the booking that matters most and the one people are shyest about making.

How to book one

  1. Ask them first. This is not optional — HYPELINE will not call a number whose owner has not agreed to it, and the consent checkbox at booking is a legal record, not a formality.
  2. With their yes in hand, book the call: pick HYPE PRO (20 seconds, $6.99) or HYPE MAX (40 seconds, $9.99).
  3. Describe the occasion in a sentence. Details make the call — their name, the thing they're walking into, the joke only you two would get.
  4. Pick the minute, at least 3 hours out and inside 8:00 AM–9:00 PM in their local time.
  5. Pay, then say nothing else about it. They know a call is coming; they do not know when, from whom, or what it will say. That is the surprise.
